    Review The Monster Club (1980)

The Shadmock story was okay while the Village of Ghouls was the best! I loved the stripper in the club too with her peeling her skin off bit by bit! Not sure if this was actually an Amicus movie as I'm sure Milton Subotsky and Max Rosenberg had had a falling out by that time and dissolved the...

Review Dr Terror's House of Horrors (1965)

The first of the Amicus portmanteaus and probably one of the best! I have the Anchor Bay disc with the French titles and virtually no extras but it's a good print! Plus I have the original 1964 paperback which I still haven't read even after having it for twenty odd years! JB

    Review THE PRISONER (1967)

Ahhh and I had a soft spot for Rover too! :emoji_crying_cat_face: I was never happy with a lot of the shows that Rover didn't appear in to be honest! Many Happy Returns being the odd one out! JB

    Review THE PRISONER (1967)

Alastair or Neil Duncan playing the Prisoner in that advert which I vaguely seem to remember! Interesting fact here is that Mr.Duncan was nearly cast as Duncan MacLeod in the Highlander television series of 1992 and he made an appearance as Terence Coventry in the fifth season of that show! JB

    Controversial The Mandela Effect

Sorry can't help you I'm afraid, Doc! I know of the Hellfire club film but have never seen it sadly and of course the Avengers episode of 1965 with Peter Wyngarde as John Cleverly Cartney! Cartney being a name that Brian Clemens has used a few times in his shows, Avengers and Thriller's Man At...

    Review BLAKE'S 7: DUEL - Episode 08

I thought Grief played Travis in this episode as a character devoted to his duty and the Federation but with some kind of conscience while Croucher's performance in the second series was much more cartoonish! You can understand Grief's hatred of Blake causing him his facial and limb injuries in...

    Review Lost in Space (2018)

I'm looking forward to the days that television ends and you just have subscription services in this country like Netflix and others and that way I can decide to save my money and just watch my DVD collection over and over instead! JB

    Review Lost in Space (2018)

TOS was 50 minutes or close to while TNG were on average 44 minutes which was printed on the back of the video box while VOY was only 42 minutes long! Soon it will be 38 minutes for an average television show so that they can fit in more adverts! JB

    Review Lost in Space (2018)

I liked the music for ENT but that was my sole interest in that show! JB

Fun What TV Shows Are You Watching/Rewatching at the Moment?

Can't say I've seen a single episode of Elementary to be honest and American television these days is so, so boring! It's the only thing in their world and their actors all look alike and all have perfectly white teeth, even the tramps and bums on the street!!! Occasionally they produce a show...

    Review Diamonds Are Forever (1971)

The Natalie Wood mystery has been raging on for nearly forty years and I doubt we'll ever get to the bottom of it! Something very fishy about the whole thing but with tremendous amounts of big money around to confuse the issue it's going to stay that way! I spoke to Lana wood on FB once and she...

    Review The Hartnell Doctor

My Who ended with the last Matt Smith episode and to be honest I wasn't happy letting it go that long! For ages my final one was End of Time with David Tennant changing into Flatface smith, but I liked the build up to the fiftieth anniversary and I felt that I should continue to collect the DVDs...

    Review The Hartnell Doctor

Would have been great to have seen Capaldi regenerate into Bill Hartnell and then start the whole legend up all over again! JB

    Review Series 11 (2018)

Sounds more like a woman's soap opera than what was the most entertaining sci-fi show of all time! JB

    Review Lost in Space (2018)

Anyone notice Billy Mumy as the new Dr.Zachary Smith in the first episode? They should have given the role to Bill as a nod to the original series and Jonathan Harris himself! JB

    Review BLAKE'S 7: DUEL - Episode 08

But Brian Croucher's portrayal was more amusing than the brutal take on the character by Stephen Grieff! They should have postponed work on the second series just to get him back!!! JB

    Review BLAKE'S 7: DUEL - Episode 08

Well in their first encounter upon Sinofar's planet, Travis easily defeats Blake and utters the immortal line of "Come on, Blake, you don't want to die on your back!" JB

    Review BLAKE'S 7: DUEL - Episode 08

Shame that Grieff didn't stay in the role as Croucher was more a comedic effort I've always thought! Damn that film that Grieff wouldn't abandon! JB

Review The Six Million Dollar Man (1973)

As long as you're not doing the game in the tradition of the early pilot movies which didn't have the slo-mo effect or the ka-chinky noises every time he used his powers! :emoji_grimacing: JB
