Let me see...
My personal impression is that she's a willowy blonde, with a touch of arrogance, cynicism, irony and a husky voice. She puts up a tough front, but is more like a bird with an injured wing. She's been terribly hurt - her father Case was so embittered she was not a boy that he gave her mother a thousand dollars and a powder case from Tiffany's and walked out - and is perhaps a little bitter. She is confrontational towards most men. It's a case - pardon the pun - of if you want to tangle with her, on a personal level, you'd better bring your best game or else you can go to hell.
When Bond first met her, she was listening to two piano pieces based upon French songs called LA RONDE, followed by J'ATTENDRAI. This music is a little bit old-fashioned and sad - by 1950s standards. She is one of the few women that Bond developed genuine feelings for. He was prepared to take the plunge and look after her permanently. However, by the next novel, Tiffany found Bond too difficult to live with and had returned to the United States with an American military officer, apparently intending to marry him.
The villains of the piece are an organized crime gang called The Spangled Mob. It is run by the brothers Jack and Seraffimo Spang. One is based in London whilst the other lives and works in Las Vegas. They are engaged in smuggling a large cache of diamonds worth many millions of dollars from Africa to America to fund their organisation.
