    Review Battlestar Galactica (1978)

I was about ten when I started to buy the new Marvel mags as well as the British ones and that's when I first realised that the UK versions were reprinting the old colour books from years back! Those adverts of classic horror films magazines were mouth watering but not available to us second...

    Review Battlestar Galactica (1978)

We sure missed out on these gems here in this backward little country in the seventies didn't we! JB

    Review Children of the Stones

Wow! I've always wondered about some of those weird covers these book got before they appeared on television back in the seventies! JB

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

It's a shame as it's a good book but sadly not up to the brutality of the world seen in the film! JB

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

I remember back in 75 or so that the only novels you could buy were Escape, Conquest and Battle! Now I wasn't happy with that so I kept going into a big bookshop in town to ask and eventually they said there was a novel based on Beneath and the original story! So I patiently waited until both...

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

Yeah I've seen that cover before! I've got two issues somewhere, not sure where but I have the Kirk and Spock dancing and the Fonz issue which has a Space 1999 parody! Think they might be worth something but they're not in mint condition sadly! JB

    Review The Bionic Woman (1976)

Trouble is we only got the two seasons over here back in 2006 and they didn't give a monkeys by presenting the story as an edited mess on the disc! I'm sure on the Bionic woman set they split a movie length episode into two parts as well which makes little sense as well! JB

Could be, there was one with him in the prison cell and grimacing with blood dripping down his fangs! JB

    Review Series 11 (2018)

Ian Chesterton, the character has been ignored too for many years but after he was unable to return for Mawdryn Undead (it was better suited to the Brigadier to be honest) but with the fiftieth anniversary having been and gone it was madness not to get him back even for a five minute appearance...

    Review The Bionic Woman (1976)

Annoyingly the R2 Universal Playback DVD set has these episodes as a two hour TV Movie version rather than the two parter it was meant to be! JB

    Fun Universal Monsters

They look similar to a set of bubble gum cards that I used to collect as a kid back in the seventies! Universal black and white photos from the 1931-45 films plus a few 50s and even Curse of The Werewolf but strangely enough not Brides of Dracula! JB

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

This game I have locked away in a cupboard! As a lifelong fan I was a bit disappointed that there were no Gorilla soldier figures chasing the humans JB

    Review Series 11 (2018)

That guy ain't a bit like Troughton!!! Even his own son couldn't do it convincingly so how can a mate of the writer or producer? JB

    Review Series 11 (2018)

It's so mad that they didn't snap him up while they could even if it was for an appearance as the Third Doctor! Same with the Brig, why they didn't get him written in to act with Tennant or Smith when they could have baffles me! I've heard that he was never well enough but he did that SJS...

    Review Series 11 (2018)

The only thing that would get me to watch the new series is an appearance by the late, great Patrick Troughton! And we all know how impossible that would be don't we! :emoji_wink: JB

    Review Series 11 (2018)

In series twelve and twenty two it was a tradition to pit a new Doctor against The Sontarans! But also Daleks appeared in series four, twelve, twenty two as well like The Cybermen who appeared in series four, twelve, nineteen and twenty two to herald in a new Doctor! Shame that this series we...

    Review Battlestar Galactica (1978)

BSG started on Thames TV on Thursday nights in late September of 1980 I think! I remember I used to tape the soundtracks every week! The Film was split into three parts, one a week and then it was followed by the series! It ended in early December with Fire in Space (having missed out Living...

    Review The Monster Club (1980)

I think AA was accompanied by an adult but it's that long ago! U was Universal, A was for older children, AA for accompanied by and X was horror and kids were banned! JB
