    Review The Whittaker Doctor

Weird? I wonder how come I've never seen any reference to that in DWM? Was it a Doctor Who comic strip or an Incredible Hulk story with The doctor in it and was she really The Doctor and how did it all end? I've always loved the future incarnation feasibility even if I don't agree with the...

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

When I was a teenager I was a massive Apes fan and could never understand why there was never a novel based on the first feature film! I'd read all four novelizations and then Monkey Planet and yet the original film version had never been done!!! Years later I picked up a copy of Monkey Planet...

    Review The Tom Baker Doctor

I think Colin has slipped down in my Doctor ratings lately! First he condones the casting of a female doctor and moans at those of us that don't want it and then he condemns Tom's appearance in DOTD in 2013 where it is stated that he is a future doctor who has returned to a few of his old...

Review Where No Man Has Gone Before (1966)

I had a few of these back in the day! City on the edge of, The Galileo 7, Piece of the action! Funnily enough I saw Trouble with Tribbles in a retro shop on Saturday afternoon in Northampton! Didn't check how much it was but things sold in there are usually quite dear! JB

    Review Blake's 7 (1978)

I used to tape the soundtracks of the shows back in the late seventies but never had the first three episodes so I hired out the first video and copied the soundtrack, pausing between episodes two and three to split them into two episodes! Never knew there was a Duel tape or an Orac one though... JB

    Review The Cage (1966)

Star Trek was one of the greatest television series of all time! In fact everyone has been trying to imitate it for the last fifty years including it's spin-offs TNG,DS9,VOY and ENT (I'm not sure what Discovery is trying to do but it ain't proper Trek) without the same effect or feeling! The...

Review The Planet of the Apes TV Series (1974)

I loved the TV series and still do but I think the later episodes were not as good and the two astronauts, Virdon and Burke took care of the brutish gorillas much too easily and yet had difficulty fighting off other humans!! The show was set in the future year of 3085 according to the flight...

Review Return to the Planet of the Apes Cartoon (1975)

Yeah wonder why it was Brent instead of Taylor in the cartoons? I remember this from the seventies and I've got the cartoon series on DVD although I've not unsealed it since I bought it in 2006! I recall the monster bird and the giant gorilla fighting near the end of the series and wonder why...

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

Yep! Every Friday back in the seventies coinciding with the TV series on Sunday nights! I was gutted when the comic strip of the first film didn't continue with Beneath in #12 the following week! We got Terror on The Planet of The Apes instead or as my old friend Ian and I used to say the...

Review Planet of the Apes (1968)

The original movie with Charlton Heston is one of the best films ever made and my own personal favourite film! So I can't say enough about it from the great engine sound zooming across the Forbidden Zone (lifted from Irwin Allen's Lost in Space) to the hunt in the corn fields and the trial in...

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

I saw the second film of the trilogy and it was okay but I'm a purist and love the original five films! This last one bombed at the office box is that right? JB

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

Has anyone ever read the book written by Drew Gaska where it follows what happened to Landon in the original film? I can't remember what it was called but it sounded interesting to say the least! JB

Review Twice Upon a Time (2017)

I wonder why they have changed the Ben character's hair? The guy in the drama looked okay but this guy looks like a flump! And why have Ben and Polly anyways, even if it is a Tenth Planet recreation (That none of us will accept anyway?) JB

    Fun Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

Whatever they try to tell us, Discovery is set in an alternate reality! The Klingons resemble those seen in the second JJ Trek film for starters! And after we've seen the explanation episode will we be saying, "Oh of course, that makes sense, it's so obvious now!" I doubt it! JB
