Review The Six Million Dollar Man (1973)

I remember seeing most of those toys either in the shops at the time or on the net (Sasquatch figure) and Maskatron was meant to be the John Saxon robot from Day of The Robot episode but I didn't know they did a Fembot doll! Which is strange as they were a bionic Woman foe rather than a Steve...

    Review The Whittaker Doctor

Moffat, the worst 'producer' the show has ever had! Well him and Chibnal together anyways! I can't stand this guy's style of writing, it's the same with his Sherlock show, which I also can't stand! But as I've said before, he's saved me cash and room space and got me to appreciate the quality...

Review The Six Million Dollar Man (1973)

Great show of the seventies and a lot of fun too! Steve Austin as played by lee Majors was a real hero when he was fighting robots, mad scientists, bionic baddies like The Seven million Dollar Man, Big Foot and The Death Probe but some of the spy shows were a bit dull towards the end of the...

    Review The Sweeney (1974)

Loved this back in the eighties repeat season as I never liked it as a kid! It was clever how Regan and Haskins, his boss, disliked each other intensely in the early shows but by the end of the run had become staunch friends! Good how some villains returned for another episode unlike most cop...

    Review The Incredible Hulk (1978)

Wish they'd let Lou keep his own black hair instead of the sandy green wig though! JB

Review Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads? (1973)

Sad to know that the lads fell out about forty odd years ago and maybe that was what prevented a Likely Lads get together in the nineties! Rodney Bewes passed away last week I believe too! RIP JB

Review Return to the Planet of the Apes Cartoon (1975)

Strange that the cartoon had such an ending! The return of the flying monster and the great ape while Jeff and the others lived in the pueblo with the primitive humans and Brent safe from the apes led by Urko! It didn't seem as though it was the end and that it was going to continue... JB

Review Return to the Planet of the Apes Cartoon (1975)

I can still see them in the bookshops of the era but I thought they were just made up stories and at the time I wasn't that into the cartoon series! JB

    Review The Colin Baker Doctor

He looks the part considering his attitude to us and Davison lately... JB

    Review The Whittaker Doctor

And as for Clara, I never liked her character with Capaldi one bit and I truly hoped that her leaving the show in that Christmas episode with the crabs would have been the end of her character, it seemed to fit more than that raven rubbish! JB

    Review The Whittaker Doctor

That scene was terrible I've always thought and for someone who is against the gender swapping Time Lord idea, I feel it was forced upon us! The Missy/Master thing could have been a stolen body explanation but Moffat wanted to impress 'his' theory onto us long term fans whether we like it or not! JB

Review The Planet of the Apes TV Series (1974)

Me neither until I read an article about it years ago! Bad thing is the character of Prefect Barlow is changed to that of another name because Barlow had already appeared in The Horse Race which was one of the earlier stories in the books! JB

Review Return to the Planet of the Apes Cartoon (1975)

I remember seeing these in book shops of the seventies but I never bought any of them and back then I never realised they were adaptations from the cartoon series! JB

Review The Planet of the Apes TV Series (1974)

The fourth book was never available here in the UK but with the internet I was able to get a copy a few years back to complete the set! Shame they never carried on as there were only fourteen episodes! JB

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

Yeah I found the third one while on holiday back in 77 I think and although Ape mania was virtually well and truly dead I still bought it for a pound I think! It's got a couple of comic stories drawn by John Bolton. One where Urko challenges the authority of Zauis and another gorilla defeats...

    Review The Tom Baker Doctor

Colin is an abrasive person as such and Davison the probably more calmer but less friendly type! I remember when my wife and I were in one of these convention places about ten years ago and Colin was shaking some guys hand after taking his money no doubt and my wife commented on how these actors...

Thanks, Doc! Sounds like a typical eighties get out of jail DW story to me! :emoji_blush: JB

Review The PLANET OF THE APES Franchise

I've got all three of those rascals in my cupboard! I saw the first and second annuals in Northampton last week funnily enough and they were in good condition, think they were £8 each but I could be wrong! JB

    Review The Whittaker Doctor

That's strange!!! Why print a Doctor Who strip in another comic when you already have a magazine dedicated to it out at the same time! More Marvel madness I guess! Thanks, Doc! JB
