    Fun Rubbish Superheroes

I remember the Super-Pets (go Krypto!) but Jell-o Man? YOU ARE MAKING THEM UP NOW to give us all nightmares.., but it clearly shows you are highly skilled in faking the style of classic comic covers . Bravo Doc. A chorus line of tasteless disco dancers prances your praises...

    Fun Hot Dogs!

And literally camping to prove it! It's a very impressive fire, you could cheerfully spit-roast the four legged catch of the day over that, let alone sausages. Rather worryingly though, I see no beer.

    Fun Rubbish Superheroes

Hilarious! Though I remain very fond of the Legion of Super Heroes and some of their frankly dodgier members. I can't stand Iron Man by the way - I'd shove him down to the Sunday league without batting an eyelid.

Review Murder on the Orient Express (2017)

Best chuckle all day - I wonder if the film will bend over backwards to explain to the offenderati that the name Orient Express refers to a railway route/ service whose eastern-most terminus was in Istanbul, where Asia "starts". Now, though not in the blessed Agatha's day, it's the only place in...

Review Murder on the Orient Express (2017)

Same for me with Raymond Chandler - oddly, I'm quite relaxed about Jane Austen, though.

    Fun Hot Dogs!

Good to meet you Hunter - and respect for the random snack quiz concept! I'm experiencing a slight sense of being not-American-enough to relate fully to this - but: 1) Baked beans: seems odd but that's really tomato ketchup with lumps so OK - and is that a rasher of bacon tucked down the side...

Fun The Last Movie That You Watched?

The Lost Boys (1987) - the suspense, the comedy and the music are immortally wonderful - but dear lord, the mullets!

Review Info for Newbies to Classic Who.....

New to me and OOF! That was amazing! Couldn't find it anywhere logical on IMDb but the cathedral location is now going to bug me till I figure it out. Thank you for the small but perfectly formed Welcome Weekend treat!

Review Info for Newbies to Classic Who.....

Ooh, thanks for the hot tip- clearly something I need to know more (than my current nothing) about- just found and loved his 2008 series The Crooked House - he certainly respects and celebrates the horror classics.

Review Info for Newbies to Classic Who.....

Wow, Doc - thanks for the nifty-quick cut and paste, my friend. Sometime, somehow, Mike Myers is going to admit he also saw this show at a formative age, right?

Review Info for Newbies to Classic Who.....

It that case I bet you'll love Jon Pertwee's Doctor in general, and him and The Master facing of in these episodes. Promise to tell us when you do. And look for a short-lived but loveable action series called Adam Adamant as well.

    Review Classic Doctor Who

But we can infer he never would for two wholesome reasons: (1) Genesis of the Daleks - given the choice to get in some preventative extermination of the daleks, he realises he hasn't the right - because they haven't done anything to deserve it. (2) Let's Kill HiItler - Hitler gets a smack and...

Review I want to BE River Song when I grow up and other timey whimey Doc. Who things!

Morning, petal - can the need for embarrasment, it's only a TV programme when all's said and done. An early Capaldi episode with an excellent rant from the Doctor about having a row (which we've never seen) with River, which leads him to go off in a sulk and live with otters for a while. That's...

    Review Terminator 2 (1991)

I have a real soft spot for this one, as I saw it before the first, which in comparison just isn't as much fun. I mean, Arnie as a big dumb menacing robo-thug is just obvious, whereas good guy Terminator is kind of sweet. And the melty metal upgrade baddie is really sinister. But 3D? why do they...

Review Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

...to everything! This one took a while to grow on me after the success of the previous installment, but it really works effectively as an ensemble piece. Love the comedy of the ball! Worthy of Jane Austen after she'd got into the parsonage sherry.

    Fun The STAR WARS Franchise
