Alien Covenant sucked. I am shocked at the hype and rotten tomatoes score.

Let it die. The originals were the only good ones!

I think Alien 3 should have been the last one in retrospect. It seems to have been just one misjudgement after another since then.

I think another problem is that the xenomorph itself just isn't scary anymore. The relentless spoofing of it has killed any menace and the fact that it has been shown far too much on screen by now - instead of being fleetingly glimpsed and mainly hiding in the shadows as it was at first.
