Fun Strange things on the side of the road?

It could be that the bridge has that "paranormal energy", or somesuch. I forget the proper term, but you catch my drift. For example, ever since my current neighbors moved in at the start of 2014, I've been hearing their voices talking about me, repeatedly. I don't believe I'm schizophrenic, as...

    Review The Sequel/Prequel Zone

I think I agree. The next installments, "Escape from" and "Conquest of", aren't technically prequels, but are such a thing time-wise. Plus, "Battle for" seems to be the state the world winds up in. Time after time.

You know what, you're right. There are no prequels in this saga.

Fun Strange things on the side of the road?

We've all seen strange things, on the side of the road, while traveling. What's the strangest thing you've seen? When I was fresh out of high-school, several moons ago, my uncle and I were coming back from a larger city. We were coming back from my having taken the TASP exam, when we saw a male...

    Fun The Birth of IMDF!

Do the boards get "cleaned" periodically? It doesn't bother me, but do all (or some) boards get periodically cleaned? For example, I just came from the Paranormal board, and some old threads aren't there anymore. There was a witchboard thread, and an Amytiville thread, which are gone. This...

    Review The Sequel/Prequel Zone

I dig prequels as much as sequels. For example, I dig Beneath the Planet of the Apes, and I thought Vacancy 2 was great.

    Review Your Favourite Movie Goofs!

The chase scene in Trancers (1985). Toward the end (right after Thomerson and Hunt leave with the homeless man, after being shot at), they're avoiding the cops on their tail, and you can clearly see the microphone at the top of the screen at one point, per se.

Things that ANNOY you! "That's what I'm saying". First of all, this is disrespectful. We all wind up re-iterating what someone just said, at one point or another. Also, I find it incredibly pretentious to have to constantly be pointing out that the other person committed this. People want to...

Fun Any quotes you don't care for?

I do agree with this. Sociopaths, for example, never get their due. Some "bastards" do, but it's more due to a crisis of conscience, rather than events unfolding upon them.

    Poll Life After Death?

I can entertain your thoughts if you can entertain mine. For example, deja vu exists, correct? Isn't it possible it exists because we've been here before, and are re-experiencing something we've done before? If we can imagine space as infinite, I see no reason why time (and life itself) couldn't be.

    Poll Life After Death?

The Egyptians got it right--"eternal recurrence" is what we live in, we just don't really know it. Face it, time is subjective: I think I'm living my life for the first time, and may not be. I may be living my life for the 30th time or so, for all I know. After all, I'm only human (per se).

Fun Any quotes you don't care for?

I do still disagree with the quote physically-speaking, but perhaps I can change your mind about the mental aspect. For example, in order for Michael Jordan to start winning championships, he had to get past the Detroit Pistons. They tried everything they could to get inside his head. It may...

Fun Any quotes you don't care for?

"Everything happens for a reason." Not at all. If I'm posting at the library, and some nut decides to blow me away just because he lost his girlfriend, lost his job, and wanted to make the headlines, I fail to see a legitimate reason, per se. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I may...

    Fun Our Even Earlier Posts!

Due to many posters choosing social networking, such as facebook, forums are a bit of a dying breed. However, the important thing is that this site is built to last. >There are 2 reasons IMDb shot itself in the foot: 1. It allowed PM's. This encouraged trolling, since users could message people...

Most Popular SLANG The Year You Were Born In I just remember kids saying, "Mind your own beeswax" when I was growing up. "Up yours" was at an all-time high, and people said, "eat me" rather than "bite me", like they did a decade later.

    Review Walmart

You may or may not believe this, but it's a true story: As we know, Wal-Mart is closed from midnight to 6 a.m. these days. But back in the day, probably 2010, it was still open 24 hours. It was around midnight one time, and I went to the restroom. As I went to the sink for my hands, I found a...

Fun Which CLASSIC MOVIE STAR Are You?

I post at the library, and couldn't copy and paste for some reason. It said I'm Clark Gable, and claimed that I'm brash and arrogant. That's what she said.

The cover of ''From Beyond'' always stuck with me. It had a face stretched out, and made me hear the words, "Humans are such easy prey".
