    Review Adam and the Ants

Yeah, why not?! Loved these guys in their heyday. Their videos were always great, a central part of their appeal, but some very good tracks as well.

God, this takes me back to my teens. I remember going absolutely ape crazy gaga over this. Don't know really what to make of it now. Catchy tune, strange construction of the song, and a clever title.

    Review Modern English

Leaving 4AD records for the States they produced a very accessible album Start /Stop, which is pretty good.

    Review Blake's 7 (1978)

I'm not too hot on actors careers apart from flagging up some noteworthy appearances. So, Gareth Thomas, of course Children Of The Stones and Hammer House of Horror episode " Visitor From The Grave". But must mention two stand out Thomas performances, both on youtube. SUTHERLANDS LAW- BBC...

Very funny guy, sadly taken from us at a young age. His early Thames TV stuff I think was the best. Mr Angry, Sid Snot, Marcel, who can forget them?

    Review The Waterboys

Savage Earth Heart from the first album. This live version on The Tube makes a great track even better, a powerful sound from Mike Scott's " Big Music" period.

Another 4AD label band, this one of extraordinary talent and scope of music. Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry have created some weird and also beautiful tracks. I'll let the music do the talking.

    Review Modern English

A band from the 4AD record label stable, which promotes innovative"Indy " bands. Robbie Grey's Modern English still going and had a recent release with the original members re-united which was pretty good. The previous album "Soundtrack" was remarkably good too, and that came after a long...

    Review Cocteau Twins

Yes, great choices. What an extraordinary voice she had, love to see them back in the groove. I just had a feeling listening to their final album, " Milk and Kisses", that it was over, it weren't great. Head Over Heels was my favourite, and Treasure. She also did some singing on 4AD release This...

    Review Cocteau Twins

This was an extraordinary band. A bit of a niche following, the very definition of an "Indy " band. Tons and tons of critical acclaim but no real hits. An incredible vocalist in Elizabeth Fraser, a voice sent by heaven, a lilting melodious sound that cascades over the listener. What she's...

    Review The Professionals (1977)

Yes siree! Bodie, Doyle, Mr Hudson...er sorry Mr Cowley. Been watching this a lot lately and it's brilliant. Often criticized but the stories were terrifically entertaining and well written, not surprising given Brian Clemens involvement. Timeless piece of tv history.
