Review Hardy Boys /Nancy Drew Mysteries (1977)

Loved this show, with Shaun Cassidy, Parker Stevenson and Pamela Sue Martin as teenage sleuths. The first series each episode was either a Drew mystery or a Hardy Boys one, Drew and the Hardys never met. Second series was basically The Hardy Boys, with Nancy appearing with them in a number of...

    Review Pardon My Genie

Some children's shows when viewed in adult life yield a deeper understanding of the writer's talent and hidden depth, this though is not one of those shows. This is just childish fun written by Bob Block who did Rentaghost, and stars Roy Barrowclough sadly deceased. It's fun , I like it , a few...

    Review Play for Today (1970)

I'm still going through this series for the first time and come across a rather interesting play, anticipating Bake- off by about forty years. Dad's Army's John Le Mesurier judges a pie baking contest in the Hall, with all the bitching you'd expect.

One of the great BBC comedies of all time. " Mmmm Betty , why haven't we been mentioned before? No one likes me Betty" " Of course they do Frank. They'll be plenty of people saying they like you" " Oh mmm, nice"

Severe Weirdness Warning Sorry guys, I couldn't resist this. Richard H Kirk ( Cabaret Voltaire) produced this 53 minute ..er..track? Best listened to when slowly getting drunk. Richard Burton comes on after about 40 minutes speaking in German , there's also a bit of Blue Peter shoved in here.
