    Review Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

An unusual spoof comedy with a complicated set up. A 1980's channel 4 show Darkplace, created by Garth Marenghi was so bad it was never aired but now (2004) gets an airing due to desperation by Channel 4. Actually no ! It's a non existent show presented as real in a parody of bad 80's tv. Matt...

    Review Earth 2

This 90's series I saw for the first time about a year ago. The youtube link will detail the show, but I'll add that I thought it was an interesting take on Human/Alien contact with some nice ideas. One or two ideas do have a Blakes7 ring about it, particularly a character who has a device in...

    Review Firefly (2002)

A great series, if rather short lived, only 14 episodes but a lot of potential. A beautiful mix of science fiction and wild west, and owing a bit to Blakes7 for some plotlines. How something this good can get axed after just 14 episodes is unbelievable.

    Review Dark Skies (1996)

A terrific series based on the Roswell incident, Alien arrivals, a cover up involving the American Intelligence services and one man's attempt to tell all to anyone who would listen. Set in the 60's , this was envisaged to encompass many decades, one series at a time, but shamefully and I do...

    Review Enemy At The Door

Classic wartime drama that British tv does so well. ITV series set in the Channel Islands during Nazi occupation. Starring Alfred Burke, Bernard Horsfall ( Goth in Dr Who Deadly Assassin), Simon Cadell, and Simon Lack (Zadek - Androids of Tara). Gripping series recommend.

Review In Sickness And In Health

Follow up to Till Death Us Do Part, Warren Mitchell returns a decade later as Alf Garnett. There's some great comic moments here but not quite up to the standard of the 60's iconic series. Giving Alf a black homosexual home help.was inspired.

Review Till Death Us Do Part '65-'75

What can you say about this?! Legendary performance from Warren Mitchell as loud mouth racist Alf Garnett, also a great performance from.Anthony Booth,Cherie Booth's father (Tony Blair's wife).

    Review Blancmange

One of many 80's synth bands, but this one had that something extra. I really liked their stuff, Neil Arthur had a powerful and slightly on the edge vocal style that made the songs come alive.

    Review The Human League

Started off as a rather off beat synth band with two non commercial type albums. Then members Martin Ware and Ian Craig Marsh left to form Heaven 17,leaving Philip Oakey to start again with new members and a new direction, and big chart success followed.
