    Review Doctor Who (2005)

I'm obviously much more relaxed about continuity. I figure that continuity in Doctor Who has never really been a big thing so why start worrying too much about it now?

    Review Doctor Who (2005)

I didn't like the new Star Trek much myself at first. But I found that once I stopped trying to worry about how it fit into the continuity and basically just thought of it it as it's own thing without any real connection I enjoyed it more. It wasn't perfect, by any means, but overall I found it...

    Review Doctor Who (2005)

Well I can't disagree with you about the crackers. Those are some of the best stories. I've just got a higher appreciation for the rest of the series. I'm curious though is it just New Who you're not fond of or is it modern TV storytelling generally? I know the way television is done has changed...

    Review Doctor Who (2005)

Happy to do so but I'm not sure it will help. We've clearly got different tastes when it comes to Doctor Who - I've largely enjoyed the modern era and you seem to have mostly hated it.

    Review Series 11 (2018)

I've been wondering about that myself. From the comments I've read you haven't really enjoyed the show since Moffat took over (so 8 years now) so why have you continued watching it for so long? And given that you're adamant you won't be watching it going forward, why spend so much time online...

    Review Doctor Who (2005)

Well count me as one who's hoping for the latter. I loved the new trailer and am extremely excited about what's to come.

    Review Doctor Who (2005)

There are people who still watch shows when they're broadcast? I watch everything on delayed stream so I don't have to limit myself to viewing at a specific time.

    Fun Universal Monsters

It's very frustrating. I know cinematic universes are in overkill mode at the moment but if there's one franchise that should lend itself to this sort of thing, surely it's this? How they managed to stuff this up is beyond me.

    News Obi-Wan Kenobi TV Show

I honestly can't see any value in an Obi-Wan spin-off. We've seen his story and it should be assumed that once he settled on Tatooine he was in hiding and wouldn't have advertised his presence too much. Surely there are other stories that could be told?

    Review The Tomorrow People (2013)

I've got (and love) Four into Three. I really should go looking to see if I can find some of the others.

    Review Blake's 7 (1978)

Its a beautiful design but I don't see any need for a major reinterpretation of the Liberator. The original model was futuristic and interesting and if there was ever a remake or reimagining of Blake's 7, I wouldn't want to see anything other than minor cosmetic changes, and probably a higher...

    News Dune: Part 1 (2020)

This is one of the few cases where I'd strongly be in favour of developing the story as a trilogy.

Review DISCUSSION- CATWEAZLE: "CASTLE SABURAC" - Episode 02

A generally enjoyable episode although I fear the premise of the show is already starting to run a bit thin. It can be annoying, but given that his initial terror in the beginning of the episode appeared to be a plane I think we can forgive him this time. Someone from that era seeing something...

    Review BLAKE'S 7: BOUNTY - Episode 11

I'm not really sure how to respond to this episode. I can't point to anything particular that I didn't like in the episode, but as a whole I found it to be underwhelming. Which explains a lot actually. It seems like two fairly unrelated stories jammed together to pad the episode out. The main...

    Review Tremors (1990)

I have to say that looks pretty good. I'd definitely be interested in watching it. Not sure how well the premise would have lasted over an ongoing series though.

    Review Doctor Who in Print!

If they're the fans who say ‘Doctor Who is only for those of us who’ve been there since the proper series’ as he says, then they are moronic. Could have been better phrased though. I don't have an issue with seeing reviews of older episodes by younger viewers. My kids enjoyed many of the...

    Review Series 11 (2018)

Given that they went so far as to indicate he was a governor on the school board I always assumed they were setting him up for at least a cameo appearance. I was stunned when he never showed up at all. The Caretaker was the perfect opportunity for an appearance. A whole episode set in the...

Fun Your Favourite Books & Authors!

They are quite different stories. As far as I recall, the majority of Yesterday's Son is built around a standard Star Trek concept with the Enterprise and Romulans, while Time for Yesterday is largely Kirk, Spock and McCoy travelling back in time to a medieval style world.

Fun Your Favourite Books & Authors!

James Blish totally got the show, which is why his books of the shows episodes were so successful, paving the way for the wider novel universe and eventually the return of the show via animation and then movies. The fact that he was a brilliant sci-fi writer in general didn't hurt either...

    Review The Cushing Doctor!

I think it's time for another Cushing Doctor Who movie. After all if he was up for a reprise of his Star Wars role, surely he'd be happy to do another Doctor Who :emoji_wink:
