Funny, just watched the last episode of Timeless last night - hope it comes back for a second series and really Gets Its Act Together next time...
However - me to Shakespeare's London 1598-99 (he's writing Henry V, which I'm lecturing on next week) but also planning the big move across the river to his new Globe Theatre. I'd sink a few pints with him of course, nip out of town to the undeveloped fields of Islington where I once had a very nice flat and buy up that neglected land 220 years before the house was built where the flat would one day be... but mainly, I'd have to ask Shakespeare the question that's been bugging me for a long, long time: "Mate, is it true about demolishing your playhouse and hauling the timbers across the frosty Thames over Christmas because of a spot of bother with the landlord, OR - were you just pig sick of fanboys interrupting you in your local to ask if Merry Wives of Windsor was canon?"
Then a quick appointment with Dr Dee who could doubtless get me safe home again for a percentage of my investment tips...and he could provide an introduction to Walter Raleigh, who was, according to rumour, a bit of a flirt - I'd like to check him out while I was in the area.
