Okay, this has been bugging me - I'm trying to remember what film a particular set-up comes from, so hopefully someone can help me out.
There's a cop (maybe low level, or small town - I think he's in uniform, maybe only a security guard, but I'm pretty sure he was a cop) whose got this scam going - snatch a cute little dog off the street, keep it locked away for a few days, then return it to the cute little owner in the hope that relieved owner will express her gratitude in a physical way. The way I recall it, the movie begins with the cop returning a pooch that he had "heroically rescued" and having his way with the grateful lady owner, then returning to his storage unit where we see another dog caged, with the cop promising to it that he'll take it home in a few days. If I recall correctly, the whole set-up isn't really a plot point for the rest of the movie, but more of a comic introduction to a main character.
