That's exciting news. Cleese is still a very funny fellow, and I eagerly await this new project.
I remember first seeing him in ONLY WHEN I LAUGH as a kid. I really enjoyed that TV program.Loved James Bolam in The Likely Lads, Only When I Laugh, and recently discovered the Bierdebeck Trilogy, which was an Alan Plater comedy /drama series with the delectable Barbara Flynn.
Glaswegian just has to be one of the best accents to rage and swear in, and well worth the effort you are putting into mastering the nuances! It was the great Sir Terry Pratchett who observed that all good swearing has an international component - but when you get round to the spinoff film In the Loop you'll get the Americans v. Tucker standoff of all time.I just started watching "The Thick of It" (for Peter Capaldi) and I love how sleazy it is! The camera work looks like "The Office". I don't always understand what they're saying due to the accents but I usually get the gist of it.
What? When? Who?Did you ever watch Golden Balls. I absolutely loved that one.
Not cerebral at all but full of lies and deception.
