I think Styx was incredibly underrated, easily one of the best bands of the 70's.
No disrespect to Stairway to Heaven, but Suite Madame Blue is my fave 70's power ballad.
Renegade, Too much time on my Hands, and Crystal Ball are also great songs.
Even 'Come Sail Away' has grown on me a bit.
There was a reviewer who once claimed they were too pretentious for him to get into.
I thoroughly disagree, the only song that meets this criteria imo, is The Grand Illusion.
Another band from the 70's I think is underrated is Kansas.
I dig all their songs, with the exception of Point of no Return.
If you've listened to songs like The Pinnacle and Closet Chronicles, you probably agree.
