An episode with plenty of action culminating in a fifty UFO attack on Earth. Enjoyable but a bit far fetched.
A filmmaker shows Straker a documentary he has made, in Straker 's capacity as movie mogul, the film.studios of course being the cover for SHADO. The documentary is about Cornish fisherman (yawn), but surprisingly a tropical fish has been caught by said anglers.
An underwater scuba photographer is despatched and finds the water around Cornwall is higher than usual, hence the fish, lots of them, tropical.
SHADO submarine then encounters a UFO speeding underwater, which then disappears, but reappears coming out of the top of a dormant volcano.
Have the aliens got a base under the Atlantic? Meantime the aliens have amassed 50 craft on the edge of the solar system and are " parked" and waiting for something.
The heated water is traced to a undersea cable the aliens have installed, and this cable leads to a dome on the ocean floor.
Straker and Foster break into the dome, and discover an unexpected weapon. Duplicates, doubles of SHADO HQ personnel, and a duplicate of their control room. Also doubles of both Straker and Foster, as the aliens plan to override the real control room and use their duplicates to give false orders to allow the 50 craft unhindered access to Earth.
