The only things I have seen are Bohemian Rhapsody, The Good Place, and Murphy Brown. I’m pretty out of touch.

With me the only Best Picture nominees, in either Category, that I’ve seen are Bohemian Rhapsody, Vice and A Star is Born.

Television wise the only tv shows I have seen are the Murphy Brown reboot and Ozark.

And that’s about it! !

Wow. I'm in good company here, as I haven't seen a majority of these either. Obviously, I'm rooting for Black Panther to get any awards it's up for, and I'm screaming that it gets a Best Picture nod but no nods for Director or acting. My son saw Bohemian Rhapsody, and loved it, so I'll support it. I've heard so many great things about the rest of the movies, and all are on my list to eventually watch.

Television, I would like to see Caitriona Balfe get it for Outlander. I've still only seen the first season, but she's amazing in the role. I see Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Brühl are up for the same award, so I'm hoping for a tie. And I'll support Candice Bergen any chance I can, because she's always great, even when they put her in stupid romcoms (Mrs. Chainsaw once made me watch Sweet Home Alabama, knowing I hate Reece Witherspoon, and it still haunts me).

And I'm going to throw my support towards Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Because Make Mine Marvel! And I might actually get the chance to see it next week, and it looks amazing.

I wanted to see Black Panther but never had the opportunity. I could stop by the library and check it out, if they have it.

LOL yeah maybe you’d better not. Too bad I have Hulu, not Netflix. I was irritated that Netflix didn’t have the movies I wanted to see, except in this case it does. At least Hulu has all my TV programs.

I have both, and both come in very useful. My biggest complaint about Hulu is having to sit though commercials (I know, I can pay extra to not deal with them, but they get enough of my money).

Singer Responds To “Bohemian” Globes Win





“Bohemian Rhapsody” stole the show at the Golden Globes last night, the musical biopic about the band Queen nabbed an award for Best Actor for Rami Malek, a decision that was near universally praised, and won for Best Motion Picture – Drama, a decision that was much more contentious.

One interesting thing of note is that during both the acceptance speeches, the movie’s original director Bryan Singer – fired toward’s the end of principal photography – was not mentioned by name. Despite his sacking, Singer remains responsible for almost all the film and retains directing credit on it.

Singer wasn’t at the ceremony last night but in an update on his Instagram account, he thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for the wins:

Dexter Fletcher, who is also helming the upcoming Elton John biopic “Rocketman,” replaced Singer with roughly two weeks until filming wrapped. The film has been a gargantuan hit, taking in $744 million worldwide from a $52 million budget.
