“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Return Trailer
Last summer came the surprising news – the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” will be returning with twelve all-new episodes. Now, the first trailer for those new episodes has been revealed.
Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) returns, having gone off on her own. After spending time in Coruscant’s underworld, she finds her way back to helping the Jedi including Anakin Skywalker. Darth Maul also shows up at the end.
The series ran for five broadcast seasons, with some post-Season Five episodes released as ‘The Lost Missions’ via Netflix. Now, the new season (be it 6 or 7 depending upon how you classify these things) allows creator David Filoni to “put the final pieces of the story in place” as he says and will include major events like the Siege of Mandalore.
The series is currently planned to be released within the first year of the Disney+ streaming service which kicks off November 12th.
