That one freaked me out totally at a very tender age (I was 10 FFS!)Zager and Evans - In the Year 2525
99 Red Baboons, lol. I liked the German version better, but considering she sang the English version completely phonetically, the song was kind of a wonder in more ways than one.Doesn't get much more one hitty of wondery than this.
Hi Amyghost...and it's the countdown to this year's Eurovision already, plenty more where that came from...the song was kind of a wonder in more ways than one.
And speaking of Euro song fests, there's another one hit wonder I love that came to one-hit-wonderdom via the competition: 'Eres Tu' by Mocadades.Hi Amyghost...and it's the countdown to this year's Eurovision already, plenty more where that came from...
Yes, I actually remember that - I'd still like to hear more from Lordi, Conchita and Abba (whatever happened to them?)'Eres Tu' by Mocadades.
While that is, unfortunately, the song that they're known for, this is the first song I heard from them (on Headbanger's Ball, of all places), and thought it was much more deserving of being a hit. Alas, everyone wanted the bee girl.
Yes, while that was a big hit in the '80s, Nena has had a number of hit records in Europe starting in the '00s. I do own a few of her CDs, even though I do not speak German.Doesn't get much more one hitty of wondery than this.
