Freeform Orders A “Misfits” Remake


Freeform has given a pilot order for a U.S. series remake of the British cult fave superhero drama “Misfits” with Diane Ruggiero-Wright (“iZombie,” “Veronica Mars”) to serve as showrunner.

The project centers on a group of young offenders in a community-service program who develop supernatural powers after being hit by a mysterious electrical storm.

Ashleigh Lathrop, Tre Hall, Jake Cannavale and Allie MacDonald star in the remake which Howard Overman, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will executive produce.
