CBS Plans “L.A. Confidential” TV Series
New Regency, Lionsgate Television and CBS Television Studios are reportedly developing a TV adaptation of “L.A. Confidential” based on James Ellroy’s 1990 novel.
The series would follow the paths of three homicide detectives, a female reporter, and a Hollywood actress as they intersect while the detectives pursue a sadistic serial killer in 1950s Los Angeles.
Jordan Harper (“Gotham,” “The Mentalist”) is set to write and executive produce alongside Arnon Milchan.
The property was previously adapted by Curtis Hanson into the Oscar winning 1997 film of the same name starring Guy Pearce, Kim Basinger, Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey, James Cromwell, and Danny DeVito.
