One of the more memorable characters created in 70's British tv, the debonair upper crust crime fighter Jason King, played by Peter Wyngarde. Originally the character appeared in the threesome that made up Department S, an ITC series several years earlier. King was a popular character and was given his own series.

The fluffy stuff as my wife called him! I remember my aunt thought he was terrific and used to call him my Peter! HaHaHa sadly she died before it came out that he was gay and his career took a nose dive after he was outed in the papers in the seventies! I always thought he looked better before he started wearing that blasted wig like in The Innocents and The Avengers! RIP Cyril Louis Goldbert
