Over his wife's objections, Basil hires his usual firm of incompetents (O'Reilly's) to do some carpentry work in the hotel lobby. With both Basil and Sybil out for the afternoon, they leave Polly in charge. She decides to have a nap, leaving the English-challenged Manuel in charge.

Another great episode. The way these shows are crafted is just sublime. Basil Fawlty, A man constantly on the edge of a breakdown, who always makes decisions that make bad situations worse.

Favourite line? "Oh God! Don't smile!"

Not a favorite of mine, but in comparison with most other sitcoms still very good.
Sybil "O'Reilly is nothing but a thick Irish joke"
Basil " Ah Mr O'Reilly we were just talking about you, but then we got talking about another Irish builder.God he was awful!"
Sybil " I was talking about you Mr O'Reilly"
Basil " really dear I had no idea"
Best scene Basil asking Manuel to show him where the dining room door was, while bashing his head at various points along the wall.
"was it here?" BASH " Or here?" BASH.

"You Orrelly men?" 'You shut up!' 'He means O'Reilly!' 'Thick as a plank!' "Which one man with beard?" Manuel ends up with a thump from the aggressive guy with the beard after Basil sets him up over the phone! Classic episode and still mightily funny even today!
