24. The Celestial Toymaker
In the domain of the Toymaker nothing is quite as it seems - as becomes apparent when the TARDIS materialises inside. The Doctor seems well-acquainted with the mysterious man's penchant for deadly distractions, but now with companions Steven and Dodo in tow the stakes are even higher. Failure to triumph in a series of games will result in them being trapped for eternity in a strange realm where innocuous-seeming nursery characters reveal lethal intent. Steven and Dodo's desperation to regain the TARDIS increases with every round of blind man's buff and musical chairs they play. In each game they are faced by dangerous opponents and deadly allies - the clowns Joey and Clara, the King and Queen of Hearts, a mischievous schoolboy and a legion of silent, walking dolls... The Doctor, rendered invisible and challenged to complete the fiendishly difficult Trilogic Game, can only watch his friends' plight from afar. Who will be the first to make a false move in this battle of wits, and will the TARDIS ever escape the Toymaker's snare?

25. The Gunfighters
Tombstone, Arizona, 1881. The air is filled with the sounds of shooting, cussing, and toe-tapping tunes knocked out on the battered piano at the Last Chance Saloon. And then there is something less familiar: the wheezing, groaning sound of a Police Box materializing. The Doctor and his companions aren't the only newcomers in town. The Clanton brothers have ridden in to settle a grudge with Doc Holliday, the notorious gambler, drinker, and dentist. In the Wild West, tempers are short, guns are swift, and a moment's hesitation on the draw can mean death...

26. The Savages
When the TARDIS materialises on an alien planet, the Doctor insists that he and his companions have arrived in the far future. Steven and Dodo think otherwise, however, after they encounter a band of cave-dwelling primitives who are terrified of strangers. The travellers soon discover that the planet's population is divided into two castes, and that the professed idyll of the Elders - who inhabit a technologically advanced city - seems oddly dependent upon the unsophisticated Savages. Whilst the Elders' leader, Jano, welcomes the Doctor into their society, Dodo stumbles upon a dark secret at the heart of the community. The truth behind the Elders' great knowledge is eventually revealed, and the Doctor sees it as his duty to end a terrible case of exploitation. Yet Jano has plans of his own for the Doctor... With the Doctor's faithful companion Steven discovering that events on this planet will irrevocably shape his destiny. Last episode for Steven who volunteers to stay behind and lead the planet.

Season 4. 28. The Smugglers
When the TARDIS lands on a wild and remote stretch of the Cornish coast, its occupants little realise that they have arrived in the 17th century. The Doctor, Ben and Polly soon discover to their cost that these are far from hospitable times. The local Squire is at the head of a plot to offload contraband, whilst a long-rumoured hoard of stolen treasure has drawn attention to the village church. Inadvertently stumbling upon this web of deception and double-crossing, the time travellers are rapidly propelled into danger. The Doctor's encounter with the ill-fated Joseph Londfoot leaves him with a cryptic clue to the location of Avery's Treasure. But a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing, as the fearsome pirate Samuel Pike is only too willing to prove. The Doctor realises that Pike and his bloodthirsty henchmen will stop at nothing - not even the threat of Avery's Curse - to find and seize the ill-gotten hoard. Ben and Polly, meanwhile, must choose their allies with care. It's never certain who can be trusted, and the stakes are suddenly raised as smugglers and pirates go head to head with the local militia. Can the time travellers save an entire village from burning - and still escape to the TARDIS with their lives?

29 The Tenth Planet
The TARDIS lands at the South Pole in 1986. The arrival coincides with the appearance of Earth's forgotten twin planet Mondas along with visitors from that world — the emotionless Cybermen. It's up to the Doctor and his friends to stop the creatures before they convert Earth's population into similar cyber creations — but the encounter will have a devastating effect on the Doctor...With William Hartnell ill and unable to continue, the concept of changing the lead actor was born, the rest is history.

The last episode with William Hartnell only exists in animation form.

Except the very first regeneration scene, as Doctor 1 becomes Doctor number 2
