21. The Sun Makers
Remnants of the human race live on Pluto, underground in cites called Megropolises.
Pluto heated by 6 artificial suns, fusion stations in orbit, paid for by The Company, which then tax the life out of the workers to get their money back. The Company is represented on Pluto by The Collector, a Usarian, a seaweed like alien in human form. This is unusual form of enslavement, an economic one rather by military means, and when the fusion stations run down the Usarians will leave humanity to die. The Doctor and Leela with K9 in tow help try to overthrow the tyranny on Pluto.

22. Underworld
The four man crew of the Minyan ship have been tracking the ship the P7E for thousands of years. The crew use Time Lord tech to regenerate themselves over and over again, hundreds of times. They are mentally wearied, but continually track the P7E, a ship containing the race bank of the Minyans, the means to populate a new Minyos. The ship is located inside the core of a new formed planet, and it's been there long enough for the descendants of the P7E to have forgotten their heritage and live as slaves to the Oracle , the deranged P7E computer protecting the race banks with the Seers, guards that are also descended from the P7E crew.

Season 16. 24. The Ribos Operation
The Doctor is given a task by the White Guardian, a powerful but good being with almost godlike powers. The key to time is a perfect cube of crystal that keeps time stable. The key is divided into 6 segments and scattered throughout time and the universe, and disguised to boot. The White Guardian needs the segments collected and returned to his keeping so he can stop time to rectify the equilibrium which is out of sync because of forces in the universe. Romana is the new assistant given to him by the White Guardian, she is an academy graduate from Gallifrey, so a Time Lady.
Using a tracer device they locate the first segment on Ribos. The despotic Graff Vynda K ousted Levithian Empire ruler wants to buy Ribos as a base to launch an attempt to win back power. Garron is a conman selling this primitive planet to the Graff , but in reality he is a rip off merchant trying to grab the Graff's loot and run, by fooling him into thinking that a Jethryk mine is located on the planet. The piece of Jethryk Garron has is segment number 1 of the key to time that the Doctor has to get hold of.

25. The Pirate Planet
The second segment of the key to time is on Calufrax but when trying to land the tardis ends up on Zanak. Where is Calufrax? The tracer device registers the 2nd segment is here somewhere. Zanak is ruled by The Captain, a man but with a mechanical left side of his face and torso, with a robot parrot on his shoulder. Well this is a Douglas Adams story so weirdness abounds. The people of Zanak rejoice each time the stars in the sky change which happens regularly, because then all the planet's mines suddenly fill up again. Diamonds, Rubies and Emeralds litter the streets, vast wealth for everyone. However the telepathic Mentiads urge the overthrow of the Captain. The Doctor and Romana discover the most heinous crime in the galaxy, because Zanak is a hollow planet with engines to dematerialise itself and rematerialise around another planet, crush it , even with people living on it, and mine the goodness out of it. Calufrax is buried inside Zanak, the pirate planet.

27. The Androids Of Tara
A homage to Anthony Hope's novel The Prisoner of Zenda. On Tara the population decimated by plague hundreds of years ago are reliant on androids to some extent to function as a society. The Doctor and Romana get involved in the internal politics of Tara after finding the 4th segment of the key to time easily. Prince Reynart needs to get to the throne room at a certain time to be crowned king of Tara, but Count Grendel of Gracht, a pretender to the throne has a scheme to stop this. Princess Strella the fiance of Reynart is Imprisoned by Grendel and an android double with killing capabilities has been made. The Doctor helps the Prince by repairing the android double of Reynart that was going to be used to divert Grendel so the real Reynart can get to his coronation on time. Grendel kidnaps Reynart and now has both Reynart and Stella and he has captured Romana too who is an identical twin of Strella. The Doctor proposes crowning the android Reynart as king whilst trying to get the real Reynart to safety. To add to the complicated scenarios, Grendel can also use Romana, posing as Strella to marry Reynart before he kills Reynart, marries Romana (as Strella), now Queen, then kills her and becomes ruler himself, ...clear?!

28. The Power Of Kroll
The 5th segment is on the third moon of Delta Magna, a swampy rainy, storm lashed marshland. The local natives, the primitive Swampies worship Kroll, a gigantic squid.
A refinery on the bay extracting methane is run by Thawn , a hard faced man determined to get rid of the troublesome Swampies by teaming up with Rohm Dutt, a gun runner. The Swampies have backing from Delta Magna from the Sons of Earth who champion their cause, that the moon is their home and the government plan to remove them from it so more refineries can be built. Rohm Dutt has supplied weapons to the Swampies telling them that the Sons of Earth provided them, but really Thawn is behind it, the weapons are old and rusty, useless, and can be used by Thawn as an excuse to wipe out the Swampies. Unfortunately the giant squid Kroll is on the move and is hunting for food, ie the people on this moon, Swampies, Refinery staff, The Doctor and Romana. The Doctor wonders how the bay can produce so much methane, why is Kroll so huge and is the 5th segment involved.

34. The Horns Of Nimon
On the planet Skonnos , gullible leader Soldeed is obeying the orders of The Nimon, a bull like alien who has promised power to rebuild the Skonnos empire. All Soldeed has to do is bring from nearby Anneth radioactive crystals the Nimon needs. Anneth is a defeated planet, cowering in fear of the might of Skonnos , or fearful of the memories of the days when Skonnos defeated them. In any case Annethans meekly travel to Skonnos with Hermetusite crystals and enter the Nimon's power complex to hand over the " tribute".
But it's a deception, the Nimon are scavenging invaders using Soldeed's lust for power to trick him into getting the crystals so the Nimon invasion by transmat capsules from Crinoth, the previous planet they duped, can proceed after they sucked the life out of it. Part of this journey of life as the Nimon calls it is creating a black hole that the tardis is almost trapped in bringing the Doctor to Skonnos to investigate.

35. Shada
Due to a technicians strike this story was never completed. Only half the scenes were filmed, and the story was abandoned.
Then nearly 40 years later the BBC finally commissioned the story to be completed using animation to cover missing scenes.

In a lecturer's living quarters at Cambridge University the Doctor meets old friend Professor Chronotis who teaches there. Chronotis is actually a Time Lord and his tardis is cleverly disguised as the living quarters. Chronotis wants The Doctor to return to Gallifrey a rather important book the Professor borrowed. The book is the key to Shada the Time Lord prison planet. The book itself when opened over the tardis controls will steer the tardis to Shada.
Someone else wants it, Skagra, an alien who has constructed a sphere that can suck out a person's mind and deposit it in the sphere. Skagra wants to go to Shada to release the criminal Salyevin, who has extraordinary mental powers. With Salyevin's mind in the sphere ,Skagra will command vast mental powers to subjugate the cosmos.
