William H. Macy as Wonder Woman might work. I think he has that Amazonian poise, if you see what I mean? 
But the one I am really looking forward to is Karen Gillan in the Rocky remake, one of those rare occasions where I suspect that the "re-imagining" will be far superior to the original.

Cyborg appears in the DC Extended Universe played by Ray Fisher.
He first appears in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a brief sequence of footage that is viewed by Wonder Woman.
The footage depicts Cyborg's origin story.
Fisher will reprise the character in the Justice League films, the first set for release on November 17, 2017, and its sequel, along with The Flash film and a Cyborg solo film scheduled for April 3, 2020.
Cyborg's cybernetic parts will be 100% CGI

‘Nightwing’ director explains why the movie wasn’t announced at Comic-Con
Nightwing director Chris McKay hasn’t been shy about chatting with fans about his upcoming movie. That’s why some were surprised that Nightwing wasn’t included in the list of movies that Warner Bros. announced at Comic-Con last month. Well, it turns out there’s a good reason for that.
When a fan on Twitter asked McKay director why Nightwing wasn’t part of the Comic-Con presentation, McKay said that great movies take time. In the past, McKay has turned down movies that already had a strict release date. “This isn’t going to be like that,” McKay said. “I want this movie to blow you away. We need time to get it right.”

Nightlight
Tyler MacIntyre will direct and former New Line Cinema chief Bob Shaye is set to produce the original film “Nightlight” for Sony Pictures.
MacIntyre and Chris Hill co-wrote the low-budget thriller spec about a ten-year-old boy who must fight off some sort of invaders while home alone.

“Nightwing” To Conduct A Wide ‘Dick’ Search
Though there have already been some rumors about casting, the director of the upcoming “Nightwing” film says the titular role has not yet been set.
In fact the search for who will play the big screen Dick Grayson is going to be a wide and expansive one with many actors being considered to play the former Batman offsider.
Filmmaker Chris McKay (“The LEGO Batman Movie”), responding to a fan on Twitter whilst prepping “Nightwing,” advised patience and re-iterated that the search will be thorough:
“No one has been cast yet. We are taking our time. We are going to cast a wide net because we need to find the perfect person. We need to get the script right. We need this movie to blow your mind.”
The film is said to heavily explore Grayson’s circus past and will feature lots of practical stunt work, meaning whoever is cast will have to be agile and capable of serious stunt work in much the way trained gymnast and “Spider-Man” actor Tom Holland is.
While the film may not have found its Dick Grayson yet, Brenton Thwaites will be playing the role in the upcoming DC TV series “Titans”.

Though a few names have been linked as potential candidates, most notably Finn Wittrock (“The Big Short,” “American Horror Story”) and Dacre Montgomery (“Power Rangers,” “Stranger Things”), McKay has confirmed they haven’t started the casting process yet and now adds the news of this casting call. He also offers advice to those wanting to try out – basically they’re not accepting just any potential Dick that walks in off the street:
“Have an agent or manager submit your work. To the studio. An agent or manager protects you and also is an endorsement of your character. It means you take yourself and your career seriously… and so does someone else. There will be an open casting call but that is like Vegas odds for sure. Don’t leave your career up to chance. Believe in yourself. Bet on yourself. Get an agent or a manager.”

Whedon Still Attached To “Batgirl”
Earlier today a report sneaked online that filmmaker Joss Whedon was quietly dumped from writing and directing the upcoming “Batgirl” movie.
The rumor gained traction in the wake of both reshoots on “Justice League” that ran longer than expected, that films middling reviews and box office performance, Whedon’s own personal problems, and his recent ‘tweet slam’ of the film’s villain Steppenwolf.
However sources for EW close to the production say Whedon is currently at work on the script and remains attached to direct as well. Things could change, especially with the future of the DCEU seemingly in flux right now, but at this time Whedon is still very much attached.

Quickly building a name for himself in acting circles with strong role choices, singer-turned-actor Nick Jonas has officially thrown his hat into the ring for those casting the titular role of Dick Grayson in the upcoming “Nightwing” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics.
A number of fans have reportedly taken to social media to campaign for the actor to play the role, leading to ComicBook.com asking him about it during the recent “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” junket. He responded:
“That’d be awesome… I would. I’d be super down for this. I didn’t know there was people vying for me to play this role but keep the chatter alive people! If you vote for me, maybe they’ll cast me in it! And then, I don’t know, I’ll thank you all later.”

I would rather set my scrotum in a set mouse trap. Repeatedly.
I would have thought that the role of Nightwing would require some extensive acrobatic skills. I recall hearing that DC considered those skills essential for the role. It's a role that pretty much requires finding an unknown actor with the requisite skills rather than casting a "name" actor.

While the recent shifts in management and strategy at Warner Bros. Pictures and their DC Films branch have raised questions as to the future of those comic book adaptations, one actor involved in the DCEU seems to think one of the solo films is progressing.
Joe Morton, who plays the father of Ray Fisher’s Victor Stone/Cyborg in “Justice League,” tells ET Online that as far as he’s aware the planned solo “Cyborg” movie is still on the way:
“From what I understand, there will be a Cyborg movie. It will be about him and I, and about the family that he came from, how he becomes the Cyborg, et cetera, But from whence he came, as well….I think it’s very exciting I think it’s exciting because there aren’t that many, if any, black superheroes, and in his case in particular, because there is no alias, because there is nothing for him to hide behind, and that he has to be who he is all the time. I think it’s a great kind of allegory for what it means to be black in this country.”
Fisher’s character is a college athlete who, after getting caught in a S.T.A.R. Labs explosion, is given powerful bionic abilities. He received a costume upgrade in ‘League’ which made him look more like his comic book counterpart.

Filmmaker Chris McKay has confirmed that a big announcement regarding the upcoming “Nightwing” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures will take place around Valentine’s Day, however, it won’t be in regards to casting on the DC Comics-inspired superhero film.
Finn Wittrock, Dacre Montgomery and most recently Dylan O’Brien have all been linked to the role of Batman’s former sidekick Robin/Dick Grayson going out on his own.

The team behind “Gotham” on FOX are now readying a similar city-centric prequel approach with the new series “Metropolis”.
Set in the wondrous and awe-inspiring City of Tomorrow before the arrival of Superman, Metropolis follows Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city’s dark secrets.
Production on the Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment series will begin later this year with the thirteen-episode first season to debut in 2019 on the new DC digital service due to launch later this year.
