Thoughts on this, the fourth - and perhaps most controversial - sequel in the original run of Ape films?
I've got to admit that Roddy McDowall gives an
incredible performance and basically carries the film.
There's a scene where Caesar learns that Armando is dead. He starts crying, then screams out in anger, and then goes silent. McDowall goes from grief, to rage, to fear of discovery in the span of a few seconds, all while wearing ape makeup, and pulls it off.
