Hello, what's this.... :)

The Prophet (1967)

Robot QT-1, aboard an orbiting space-station, controls the massive energy beam which transmits the sun's power to receivers on Earth. But QT-1 (Cutie) has some strange bees in his positronic bonnet. How could weak creatures of protoplasm create a nearly invincible, totally logical entity like himself? It is up to his human supervisors, Powell and Donovan, to convince Cutie of his niche in creation before his new robot theology becomes a threat to all life on Earth.

From the lack of coverage of this OUT OF THE UNKNOWN story over the years, save for a few references in DWM about finding the costumes in a cupboard and painting them white for THE MIND ROBBER, I can only assume that this is yet another lost episode of a tv show.

A pity. I think the story looks interesting and, yeah, I agree about the robots themselves looking good.

I don't know if this is available outside of the states, but Pluto TV has a Doctor Who channel they just launched. All classic Who, 24/7. Last night I caught the end of The Curse of Fenric, and then The Arc In Space, and right now, I'm watching The Deadly Assassin. The serials aren't shown in order (right before this was Planet of the Spiders), but I'll take my Classic Who any way I can get it. It's available online, or if you have a Roku here in the states, you can download an app for it. There are lots of really cool channels on Pluto, but this has, of course, become my favorite. I'll have to see if they have the rights to show any Dalek episodes.

How far back does it go?

Any black and white serials?

PS - Did you mean THE ARK IN SPACE with Tom or ARC OF INFINITY with Peter D?

It's a relatively new channel, and so far I've only seen color serials - some Tom, Jon, and Sylvester. I'm eager to see what comes up on here.

Arc In Space. The Doctor, Sarah Jane, and Harry on his first trip to space. Ah, Harry was such an idiot, but a lovable idiot.

That's THE ARK IN SPACE... as in Noah's Ark, hence the nickname for the leader.

An arc is a part of a curve, especially a part of the circumference of a circle.

Wasn't there one called THE WHORES OF AXOS or something that Mary Whitehouse got a bit upset about? :emoji_confused:

All I know about Classic Who is that it celebrated white male gays - or something.
