American Horror Story: Apocalypse
“American Horror Story” showrunner Ryan Murphy has posted a photo on Twitter of much of the cast of the third season ‘Coven’ reunited on set for filming of the upcoming eighth season ‘Apocalypse’. New episodes kick off September 12th.

The new season is a crossover between the show’s first and third seasons, both had decidedly different tones and endings, along with some overlapping actors, so it’s not clear what the new season will involve.

Britton, McDermott Return To “Horror Story”

Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott are set to return to the Ryan Murphy-produced “American Horror Story” for the upcoming eighth season ‘Apocalypse’. The new season is set to premiere on FX on September 12th.

The new season of the anthology series marks a crossover between the first season, ‘Murder House, and season three, ‘Coven’. Both played the couple at the center of the first season’s narrative and so their return was anticipated, but not a sure thing as Britton only ever did the first season (McDermott bowed out after the second).

They join fellow returnees Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, and Stevie Nicks.

“American Horror Story” co-creator Ryan Murphy has premiered a behind-the-scenes photo from the new season which sees a reunion of Evan Peters and Taissa Farmiga as their first season characters Tate and Violet. The new episode blend characters from the first and third season, with both actors reprising their roles from both seasons. The new season debuts September 12th.
