NBC Plans “Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” Spin-Off
NBC has handed out a script commitment with penalty attached for a supernatural thriller TV series pilot, one based on a character from the popular Seth Grahame-Smith novel “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”.
Titled “The Last American Vampire,” the story follows Abby, a young analyst, as she’s recruited into a special division of the FBI that investigates unique and mysterious cases.
While working on her first case tracking a string of bizarre murders she discovers her new enigmatic partner also happens to be a 500-year-old vampire.
Terry Matalas (“12 Monkeys,” “Nikita,” “Terra Nova”) will write and executive produce with Grahame-Smith and David Katenberg also executive producing. “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” adapted into a major feature in 2012 starring Benjamin Walker.
