Hot Fuzz - even tops The Blues Brothers for me (although they remain my all time favourite overall car chase). All the car stunts in the original and genuine Italian Job and an honourable mention to Thelma and Louise (they won didn't they?)

Not sure about that: what has come along to replace Harry Potter for the under 12s lately? Either nothing anywhere as popular, or (quite possibly) stuff I simply haven't come across. J.K. achieved the amazing double whammy of entertaining kids and grown-ups (and grown u ps without kids at that)...

All I'm saying here is that once upon a lunchtime swim in Highbury pool the opening verse of Rolf Harris's cover of Stairway to Heaven caused every righteous swimmer there to dogpaddle to the side and hurl abuse at the lifeguard/ DJ on duty. And that was way before he was nicked.

Happy to report I'm sure I've seen all the Shreks in totally the wrong order - depending on when I came across them on TV - and love them all. I'm pretty sure this was my first, so an extra soft spot for it! Slightly took the edge off finally seeing the first and wondering how things were going...
