So I finally finished season 1. Just as I started to enjoy it, it went a little downhill again. Once they escaped the mirror universe the final couple of episodes felt like bit of a let down. Not that I'm complaining or anything, but I'm struggling to understand why Marvel even bothers with trailers any more. Surely they could just do a 5 second ad with the title and release date and people would flock to see the movie.

I suspect that this will be the first Star Wars movie I haven't seen at the cinema. Unless it gets some exceptional word of mouth once its released, then I might change my mind. But given limited finances and a fair number of other movies I'm actually interested in it's unlikely.

That's a great theory and that's how I'm going to accept the show. Star Trek but from a drastically altered timeline. No need for the continuity to match up that way.

If women are being inspired by seeing the science that the women in this movie did, then I fear for the future of science. I suspect the fact that it was a pretty bad movie didn't help it either.

I'm amazed that, with all the characters and action scenes in this movie, they still managed to have a coherent plot and some quiet character moments. Absolutely worth the money. The only downside is that we've got a whole year to wait for the next part.

That was the problem with a lot of the Star Trek books. Many of them come across as badly written fan fiction with no real understanding of the characters. Although there are a few that were quite good.

I certainly hope so. In Justice League we finally got to see what a real Superman could be like with Henry Cavill in the role and I for one would definitely like to see more of that.
