Bill Paxton died today due to complications following heart surgery. So many great performances, particularly the more manic characters; such as Chet Donnelly (Weird Science), Private Hudson (Aliens) and Simon (True Lies). RIP Bill, and thanks for the good times.

The Fly was indeed a superior remake. Insect politics. I'm an insect who dreamt he was a man and loved it. But now the dream is over... and the insect is awake. Excellent.

I don't like it more than the original, but I still find this a very good movie. Heaven Can Wait (1978), remake of Here Comes Mr Jordan (1941). The original is my favourite movie. Technically, they are versions of the Harry Segall play Heaven Can Wait.
