Fun The Last Movie That You Watched?

Amos (1985) (3.5/5) Those of you who have seen seen interviews with Kirk Douglas are probably aware of the fact that he played Randle McMurphy in the Broadway version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in the 1960s. When his son Michael became the owner of the rights to the script, Kirk was...

Absolutely, feel free to start any type of poll. I personally haven't seen enough CC movies to create a meaningful ranking yet, so I would have to abstain from voting for the time being. But they seem to have a lot of those uploaded on Youtube, so that could change fast.

    Fun Our Even Earlier Posts!

This is actually a common phenomenon in Internet discussion forums called 1% rule. It states that the vast majority of any given Internet community only login to read, rather than participate and creating new content. Granted, taken literally, we have more than three active members, but you get...

    Fun Thirteen at Dinner

It's a good guess, but no, I'm not French. Although I did study it in school for six years and can understand the basics of it. When you pick up words and sentences from other languages, is it usually through literature, films or perhaps travelling abroads? Considering that this is a...

    Fun Thirteen at Dinner

Haha, that would make an excellent story, Salzmank! I like the irony of a mystery-themed movie being the source of another mystery altogether. I wonder, what if the singer was murdered shortly afterwards to silence him for whatever reason and they erased him from the cast list swiftly? Remember...

    Fun Eurovision

I haven't watched ESC since 2009. Based on the recap for this year's contest, most songs were kind of mediocre. Not as silly and over-the-top as some previous years, but slow, dull and forgettable. If I had to vote, I would go with France because I love the language and the singer is stunning.

Fun Post photo's you yourself have taken.

I call this one Snow takes over spring since it was taken yesterday (9 May). It's rare to get snow this time of the year, and it's always a good idea to capture rarity on camera before the moment passes by.

    Fun Football (Soccer)

I literally can't remember a time when Arsene Wenger wasn't the coach of Arsenal (I was like 4-5 when he was hired), so it will be a profoundly strange feeling the second he quits. In a football landscape where all the top-flight clubs fire coaches continously, and sometimes haphazardly, Arsenal...

    Fun "The Puzzle Murder Case"

Literary works? So it does have something to do with Lewis Carroll then! But how would van der Lyine come to that conclusion? Ok, I've created a solution out of the Lewis Carroll clue that, mildly put, is quite far-fetched and has nothing to do with his literary works. But on some level, there...

    Fun "The Puzzle Murder Case"

"You do not need the Vigenere cipher"...Thank God for that, lol. I'm intrigued by the fact that my spoiler appearently has the answer in it without me even realizing it. It's a bit like the following joke, where you in a one-in-a-million chance unintentionally get it right: Physics teacher...

    Fun "The Puzzle Murder Case"

Let's see here...Since we know next to nothing about the three main potential suspects (besides their names), any guess would be less about personal motives and more about how the letters in the clues can form any of their names. I note that only one of them has five letters in their last name...

    Fun "The Puzzle Murder Case"

First of all, a really well-written detective story, Salz. It's undoubtedly a tricky one, and I struggle to make any sense of the series of words written right before his death. I wonder if the whole "another mathematician" thing is a red herring or if it's relevant to the solution? If I had to...

Fun That Place of Historical Interest You Went To...

Carol, sorry for the vagueness. Over the years, I've come to the conclusion that local history is mostly interesting to the locals only, lol, but I'd be more than happy to be more specific. To be exact, there are three stones in close proximity of each other in "my" area. Two of them were...

    Review Cartoons

The Simpsons: The only one of these that I still watch occasionally if it's on tv. Animaniacs: Loved that show. Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines: Those poor fellas never could catch that darn pigeon. Tom & Jerry: Mostly the classic ones, but I also had a VHS with obscure...

Fun Singer in "Sleuth" [UNSOLVABLE MYSTERY?]

Thanks, Salzmank. This thread has definitely piqued my interest in the movie, and if Mankiewicz's other movies is any indication (such as No Way Out), then I'm sure I would enjoy Sleuth as well. Going back to the mystery, it is a shame that Palomar Pictures ceased to be 14 years ago. According...

Fun The Last Movie That You Watched?

Free for All (1949) (4/5) An obscure little Hollywood film with a relatively unconventional plot. As a matter of fact, its obscurity is highlighted by the fact that there are no reviews available on IMDb's website (there is a well-written storyline, though), which is surprising considering...
