News JAMES BOND: No Time to Die (2021)

I do hope Blofeld is back as it seems a waste otherwise! The character disappeared in 1971 and has been hinted at for years just for them to drop him now? I don't buy that! JB

    Review The Capaldi Doctor

Strange that he mentioned the Cybermen back in 1972! I would never have assumed they'd be coming back in that era for some reason! The show was just too young really to ask that sort of thing! Daleks were the Doctor Who monster again and there was no real enemies ordering then! JB

    Review The Cage (1966)

Susan Oliver was much more sexier than the new girl for me anyway! There is a thing about TOS that for modern producers they have to change to their own style despite some being a prequel or follow on! JB

Review Tales from the Crypt (1972)

Think I preferred Hammer but I'm getting you, Doc! Amicus films always left you with a thought and not always a happy ending while Hammer like you say always delivered the heroine to safety and the demon/monster/lunatic always met his fate with a glorious bang! JB

    Review The Troughton Doctor

Does the Macra DVD have the reversable jacket and I wonder if they animate another story will they be allowed to reuse the Troughton face again if it's by another company as all the other ones have been? :emoji_astonished: JB

    Controversial Jack the Ripper

Yes, I did, Doc! I bought a few of them from FP in London in 95 I think it was with the two part Brides of Dracula and some of the Monster Club! I could tell they were connected to HHoH due to some reprinted pages and recently I bought Hammer House of Horror #24 from Dez Skinn himself although...

Review The House That Dripped Blood (1971)

Yeah, Peter cushing was much more a happier soul prepared to put up with the faults in life while Christopher Lee, having had a more upper class upbringing, wasn't and liked to crow about things till the dawn! He used to moan about his Dracula films in public but apparently he liked and enjoyed...

Per-Twee? Per-Twee? Surely it's Pert-Wee? Yes it's Pert-Wee as the commentator says! and who the hell is Patrick Traughton? Traw-Ton!!! Now she's saying Pert-Wee!!! Who is this woman? JB

    Controversial Jack the Ripper

It's strange but those Hammer magazines were always in Wales! I remember seeing back copies in a shop in Llandudno in 77 but never bought any of them and told a friend at school about them! He was hopping mad that I hadn't bought any (I was more into Marvel at that time) but the following year...

    Controversial Jack the Ripper

Weird to think that someone was alive at that time and of a comparable age! My Grandparents were born in 1891 but that was after Jolly Jack's reign I believe while this lady was an adult and my Grandfather died in 1977 and Grandmother in January 1982 just before the screening of Castrovalva part...

    Spoilers The Walking Dead (2010)

Gimpel was going on about season ten on the Talking Dead the other day! Still squeezing it for all they can get! I read about how Gimpel conned Carl out of his role the other day! Promising him a three season deal and Carl going out and buying himself a house near the filming sites only to be...

    Review Space 1999 (1975)

Space 1999 used to be on ATV on Thursdays at 700pm in 1975 and Doctor Who was on Saturday evenings while most ITVs had 1999 but as soon as Who finished I rewatched the ending of Dragon on Anglia TV! The only way to rewatch something in the 70s and it would be 1982 before I had the episode on...

Am i hearing that right? It's in colour and 16:9 rather than b/w and 4:3? JB

    Review Space 1999 (1975)

I remember Dragon's Domain on the first screening back in 75 and I loved it! Still do! All of the shows had something to offer! Thanks for that, Doc! JB
