Best stuff I've seen this weekend is... Tokyo Idols Very interesting documentary about the rise of young stars and the creepy old men behind their success. One of these creepy old men says that he loses interest if the idol is more than 15 years old. In a different scene, we see a bunch of old...

Important Ryuichi Hiroki - Japan's Hidden Gem

Interesting. I thought I knew all modern japanese directors, but I missed this one. I've heard of some of his titles but I've only seen one - Yellow Elephant - because Aoi Mitazaki stars in it. Gonna start watching more of his movies.

Fun IMDB: The Site We Left Behind....

Yeah, the individual IMDb message boards were the best to find the meaning in the most obscure movies. These message boards had around 3 pages and you could still find interesting posts from 10 years ago.

Completely disagree. This was the best movie of 2017 for me. The hologram romance is part of the overall theme of love that the movie portrays.

I saw the first 40 episodes or so when they were airing weekly but it wasn't very good... so I dropped it. I will get back to it one day because it´s Dragon Ball. In fact I wanna watch the original show again, this time for the first time in japanese.

Fullmetal Alchemist (2017) What a terrible live-action adaptation of my favourite anime show of all time. It's just as bad as the Death Note adaptation. 5 minutes into it and it´s easy to see how bad it is, from acting to visual effects and pacing, everything is so bad. After 20 minutes I was...

Thor: Ragnarok is good fun and an improvement to the previous films. I saw Black Panther, I thought it was meh. Didn't care much with characters and story, The best film that I've seen lately was Blade Runner 2049. Amazing sci-fi film about love!

Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2nd viewing) 2001 ‘カウボーイビバップ 天国の扉’ Directed by Shinichiro Watanabe It keeps the quality of the tv show which is one of my favourite animes of all time. It has such an incredibly rich world and it's easy to get lost in it. Animation is excellent and characters are very...
