Lost--The only American TV series I watched from start to finish.

Its not hard to understand why I got hooked on this. I’m a lover of anything that involves nature settings so this series taking place on a secluded island somewhere will really get my eyes. Now if you throw a thriller story of interesting characters with hidden secrets of their own, I’m sold.

I think everyone will agree with me that the characters, theirs stories, the cliffhangers, is what made this series special. I think it got downhill towards the ending when what seemingly ridiculous elements were presented (black smoke, some time travel stuff) but who cares, I’m still hooked. I really love how the stories of the characters before and after the crash were narrated. Some moments will give you a “smirk” or "shocked" reaction. I wanted to go back to the time when the IMDb board for Lost almost crashed on the last episode. Most people thought the ending was bad. And maybe divisive and unclear. But I couldn’t have thought of any other way to end it.

Destiny, coincidence, fate, you call it whatever you want but I think this is what the series is all about. (Hey this is my attempt at being philosophical lol)

I can’t even pick a most favorite character because all of them were really interesting it almost felt like they were real people (Okay Edit: I think Sawyer would be my favorite). To those who have seen this, who are your favorite characters?

Sorry, but I strongly disagree. My son and I gave it one season... and it failed to impress either of us.

Boring, contradictory, frustrating and illogical. And based upon how it all turned out, I'm so glad we bailed early.

A complete waste of time and effort.

The closest I ever came to this was watching Kim Yoon-jin in Harmony. That was very much deep inside in the 'guilty pleasure' territory.

I can't remember if I finished it or not. I think I might have watched the ending though. I got hooked at the beginning and then it just weirded out and I lost interest. Sawyer might have been my fave characters too.

It's a fact, and you could tell, they were just making it up as they went along.

I started watching (from the beginning) after about season 3. I had heard it was a good mystery with interesting characters and story lines. I was mostly intrigued about the "puzzle" or mystery aspects. I asked around a bit before I started watching to see if the writers had a definite story arc, with explanations for all the weirdness and most folks seemed to think they did. That is, not another X-Files experience with it getting more and more ridiculous and obvious "making it up as you go" nonsense.

I was optimistic through the first few seasons. But after about season 4, I realized I had gotten sucked into another another X-Files experience with it getting more and more ridiculous and obvious "making it up as you go" nonsense.

But I stuck it out. All in all I must say I liked the series. Didn't mind the ending. Benjamin Linus was probably my favorite character.

But damn, I wish someone could come up with a "mystery" show that was plotted from the beginning, that kept me guessing and engaged and interested, AND paid it off in the end by playing fair.

Which guy was that? I can’t remember
The leader of the "others". The one who would play mind games, his strength is his mouth, talks like a robot (which is a plus because when you want to sound mysterious you have to be monotone), and in the end turned out to be just one of his people: equally confused himself. Hehe.
