I’ve been watching Classic Who on Brit box. And the best thing about it? There was a glitch in the system and I’m getting it for free! I wonder how long that will last.
Jesus fucking Christ. Some people take everything too seriously. This doesn’t sound like such a great community. So, there was a thread on Tumblr with a story about a woman who found a cage and feared a pet had been abandoned, so she went to rescue it. Instead of an animal, she found a tarantula, and felt bad for it and helped it. The thread consisted of people admiring her actions. I reblogged it, saying that I would have set the damned thing on fire.
Sooooo, as one can imagine, I am now an asshole. The OP sent me a PM gong on about how they keep tarantulas because they are "beautiful" (eye of the beholder, I guess?), and I didn't need to write such "violent shit" on their post. Checking the post itself, I saw that several people were calling me out for being a coward and callous. Apparently, having a mental disorder - which a phobia is - is something we can make fun of. People overlook all of the posts I have made about animals and against animal cruelty, or all of the posts about human rights and politics, but I tell them that yes, I would have no issues whatsoever burning a spider to death (not an animal, a fucking demon), and I'm the new Adolf. Fuck, I hate people.
I've never gotten the radical activists who truly believe that meat eaters should be put to death and that anyone who has ever harmed an animal should as well. I don't believe in torturing animals. And I have a grey-area stance on animal testing. Like, makeup and shampoo should never be tested on animals. But I and several family members have greatly benefited from medication that was tested on animals (reminds me of the old Degrassi episode where the one chick gets all pissed off at the girl for using epilepsy medicine that was tested on animals, even though the medicine kept her from having seizures). I would never go out of my way to hurt an animal. It’s pretty funny a tarantula is more important than human beings to some people.
I wouldn't personally go out of my way to kill a spider, unless it was venomous or dangerous in some other way, but I wouldn't hold it against someone else if they were not quite so... "restrained".I've never gotten the radical activists who truly believe that meat eaters should be put to death and that anyone who has ever harmed an animal should as well. But a spider. Seriously? We're not talking about an animal. It's a bug. I will take any opportunity to kill one. You know, after I've screamed like a little girl and started crying and soiling my pants.
Oh, that was the other one! They were pissed at me for referring to spiders as hellspawn! Dafuq?
