Sion Sono's "Tokyo Vampire Hotel"

Has anyone seen it? It's in the program at the Montreal Fantasia Film Festival this year. From this director and with this title, I bought the ticket as soon as they went on sale!

I haven't selected all the films I will be watching during the festival (which starts tomorrow), but there will be at least a dozen Korean and Japanese ones for sure.

I've seen the episodic version. It was great fun but I wasn't so excited on how it ended. It's sexy as fuck and pretty much what you would expect of anything coming from Sion Sono.

I wonder how different the film experience would be for me.

Just had a look at the program - BuyBust and Neomanila are both up at the top of my want-to-see list.

Buybust will be shown commercially so I'm sure this will be shown in my area but I really can't with Anne Curtis. I'll check to see if I can find a way to watch Neomanila.

Okay BuyBust gets rave reviews so in honor of @clayton-12 's favorite (??), Erik Matti, I think I'll change my mind and watch this next month when it hits our theaters. I'll see if Anne Curtis really delivered or she's really beyond redemption.

It was shown yesterday at the Fantasia Film Festival. I had a ticket but ended up changing my mind and not watching it, as I was very tired and the movie was going to end after midnight.

I watched it last night and HATED it. Maybe I should have skipped it and given the TV miniseries a try. Now I will never know, because there is no way I am watching that again, in any form.

I liked quite a few of Sion Sono's movies but others are just terrible!

Sono is one of my favorite directors, and it's a little sad but I have come to terms, and am at peace with, the fact that he will make films that go way beyond me thinking "that wasn't very good" to "GOD I HATED THAT". lol
