What's ABBA doing in this list? :emoji_astonished:

I'll replace it with The Prophets Song of Queen. Underrated, epic song, that Queen fans love as much as BoRhap.

According to Wikipedia, ABBA made also pop rock. But I agree, Dancing Queen sounds totally like pop.

I am posting this at the request of elanor.

Below are links to two threads that I originally created on the IMDb's Rock forum. I have reposted these at IMDB v2.0.

Elanor asked me to completely recreate these in this forum, but these lists are a lot to maintain, and I would rather not have to maintain them in two places:

2015 Rock/Metal Album Releases
http://imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/1458/2015-rock-metal-album-releases

2016-ish Rock/Metal Album Releases

Lost youth to me implies years that can no longer be revisited, places that can no longer be seen as they were, and people that are not accessible in the same way, or perhaps there is no way to reach them at all. For a song in the melancholic sense of thinking about memories of places or people once known and no longer seen, I have found the 1980 song "My Face," by John Foxx, to be an excellent example.

Original version:

Live version:

"Do you remember my face? Well, I'm waiting." It's quite a poignant song, I think, with a good melody and poetic lyrics. John Foxx does have quite a few songs with very similar themes, especially from his 1980 Metamatic album, his first solo-album after leaving the band Ultravox.

I try to save some thread ideas from IMDb.

So what's your favourite Power Ballade?
My first entry:
Deep Silent Complete - from the album "Wishmaster" by Nightwish with Tarja

At IMDb The-Axe-Of-Eugene asked:
Imagine you were talking to someone and for some reason you want to show him with one band what rock means to you.
Just one band.

My answer: Deep Purple

Others:
Rime_Of_The_Ancient_Mariner - Iron Maiden
ZakkWyldeMyLittlePony -

+ Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Pantera, Metallica
+ The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Who
BlueMojo - AC/DC
The-Axe-Of-Eugene - The Who
Movie_Riggs - Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd
valis1984 - The Rolling Stones

I found it very interesting how different the answers were.

I didn't mean that you should reconstruct all people's choices. I just was overawed that you remembered your choices so well, because I didn't.
I didn't actually remember. At the time I archived the results, I marked the songs that I submitted for future reference.
