I seem to be one of the few people who LOATHES Ferris. I actively willed him to get caught, get his lights punched out or... something. Smug, over-confident little spoilt douche.

I agree Hux. Someone like that would have been knocked out many times. I grew up with the movie. It was never really one I cared for. I still don't get why it's so popular? I didn't think it was funny. I thought when they were at the parade where's the police at. BTW Wouldn't Ferris at the parade and all his shenanigans make the paper the next day? Wouldn't someone in the family or friend see it? Glad they never made a sequel like Ferris goes to college, or thankfully no reboot of this movie.

I think this is a modern comedy classic. It's Hughes' best film and he revels in demonstrating Ferris’ cheeky ingenuity and charmingly popular persona. It’s a simple story with tonnes of appeal and memorable (and quotable) moments; you’ll never look at a Ferrari the same way again!

A high school wise guy is determined to have a day off from school, despite what the Principal thinks of that.
