For me there are 2, for different reasons.
1. In the 80's I got to see Don McLean perform live. American Pie is one of my all time favorite songs. It was on a clifftop near Anchorage, AK of all places. It was windy, chilly and magical.
2. Seeing Tom Petty in concert the first time. I always liked Tom Petty but the live version of his music had far more edge than recorded versions. My buddy, a big boy about 6'-2" and 400 lbs said, "If he sings Brown Eyed Girl, I'll dance on the seats!" We rocked the whole concert but Petty didn't play it until the encore and my buddy freaked, jumped on the seat which immediately broke and oddly catapulted him into the row behind us, dumping his big cup of beer all over the crowd. Now John was a big boy and those folks weren't very happy, but I was laughing so hard I spilled my beer.
