Does anybody remember this one?

Derived from the 1970s musical The Time Lord by Soames and Daniels, it focuses on contemporary rock musician Chris Wilder, who has been transported with his backup singers and band from a concert to the High Court of the Universe in the Andromeda Galaxy. In light of mankind's strides in space exploration, the Time Lord Melchisedic (loosely based on the title character in the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who) has decided the time has come to examine Earth's people to determine what role they will play in the quest for universal peace, and Wilder and his band are called upon to defend their planet.
This was only ever released on vinyl and was never filmed, so it has kind of lapsed into obscurity.

But just look at that cast list!

First it ripped off Doctor Who, then it went on to inspire the show into making the TRIAL OF A TIME LORD season with Colin Baker.

Gee, thanks guys!

I do wish that they had released the album on c.d. and filmed it though.

Bit daft not to do that really imo.

Have since managed to pick up the album on vinyl.

Sad to say a large factor in it's continued obscurity is that i.m.o. the music is simply not good enough. Very mediochre 1980's pap pretty much.

So I can't see it being revived anytime soon.
