Extravagant, bombastic Biblical epic from Cecil B DeMille (he also narrates), remaking his original silent 1923 film. This is big-scale storytelling at its grandest and although this lavish film is a bit (unintentionally) silly at times, it makes up for it in pure drama; the Technicolor visuals are also absolutely stunning. A true epic. Highlights: the parting of the Red Sea and writing of the holy tablets.
