I am a bit undecided.

The Lester cut is great fun, albeit with some hokey moments such as the flying "S" and the amnesia kiss.

The Donner cut is clearly a continuation of the mood of the first film, but seems a little less fun and entertaining than the Lester cut.

Of course, only seventy percent or so was filmed, so the Donner version we have is not his true vision as a lot of Lester's scenes still had to be used to fill in gaps, including the recycled ended of the first film.

We will never see the true Donner cut, but the version we have doesn't in my opinion make it better than the Lester one. It makes them about equal i.m.o.
