“Smallville” Actress Arrested Over Sex Cult
After making headlines for her alleged role in the notorious sex slave cult NXIVM, “Smallville” actress Allison Mack has now been arrested reports
The New York Post.
Mack was last seen chasing after the cult’s leader Keith Raniere as cops hauled him away from the villa in Mexico where they had been hiding out.
Raniere allegedly kept women as slaves and branded his initials into their skin near their groins. He was arrested for sex trafficking and forced labor and brought back to the United States.
Founded by Raniere in 1998, NXIVM sold itself on being a self-help program and around 160,000 joined the group including Mack’s co-star Kristin Kreuk and “Battlestar Galactica” actress Nicki Clyne.
Kreuk reportedly introduced Mack to the group in 2006 but left in 2012. Kreuk put out
a statement the other week saying she did not experience any nefarious activities and has denounced his alleged abuse of women.
Previous reports from the same outlet indicated Raniere used the pair’s celebrity as a lure to bring in other women with Mack allegedly the one who came up with the branding idea. She was also apparently nicknamed ‘Pimp Mack’.
