Very well done this one I think.

Shame about Scotty and his faulty memory of Kirk's fate though! We will put it down to mental disorientation after being trapped in a pattern buffer for 75 years!

There is a deleted scene on the blu-ray, which I can't find to post yet, in which, after he leaves Geordi to his work in Engineering, Troi visits Scotty in his quarters, offering to counsel him. He reacts badly to this and stomps out, which leads into his scene with Data in Ten Forward.

I always did find it odd that Troi gave Scotty a farewell kiss on the cheek at the end of the episode, despite having never apparently met him.
