I still like the soundtrack, and the movie is still a fun watch to watch to this day.
After Prince passed away in 2016 a bunch of theaters were showing this movie. At first it was all around the big cities then it made it's way out around here. I got out of practice early, so we could make the show. It was funny my teacher started playing Purple Rain from memory. Anyway me, my sister, and brother in law made it to the movie on time. Got our drinks, and snacks. I didn't know what was going to happen or how big the turnout was going to be. I watched this movie all uncut and it's full version. My sister only seen it on tv and edited. It was a great experience that night at the theater. The room was packed, everyone laughed, clapped, sang along, some took photos during Baby I'm a star. The best part that had me LMAO was the bedroom scene. I knew it was coming up, my sister didn't know about it. My sister goes "Oh my god! I didn't know we went to a porno." I just started laughing, and so did she. The woman in front of us turned around like she wanted to smack us. It was a great experience people were crying during Purple Rain, holding their lighters, and phones. It was a once in a lifetime experience. It was nice knowing that one movie brought so many people together for a moment in time. I wonder how many people were able to experience the movie?
