Yeah, I don't think it's aged particularly well. It's rarely on TV- unlike SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT.I loved this film when I saw it in the cinema as a kid. I even read the novel.
However, I have been waiting for the opportunity to watch it again on TV or buy a copy of it for over thirty years.
If I like a film, I don't care if it's aged well or not.Yeah, I don't think it's aged particularly well. It's rarely on TV- unlike SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT.
Maybe the film's vibe was just lost on meIf I like a film, I don't care if it's aged well or not.
And I can't say that I can ever remember seeing SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT - or any of its sequels - on TV.
In the early 80s, I hired the videos out and copied them. Now, I own them on DVD.
I was a particularly big fan of the SMOKEY AND THE BANDITs, HOOPER, THE CANNONBALL RUNs and so forth.Maybe the film's vibe was just lost on me
Unfortunately I wasn't a teenager in the 1980s!! Saying that, I did love the banter in SATB, but those films seem to be a product very much of their time. Would that be fair to say?I was a particularly big fan of the SMOKEY AND THE BANDITs, HOOPER, THE CANNONBALL RUNs and so forth.
When I sit down to watch them, it's still about 1980 for me and I'm still a teenager.
I would imagine so.Unfortunately I wasn't a teenager in the 1980s!! Saying that, I did love the banter in SATB, but those films seem to be a product very much of their time. Would that be fair to say?
